The technologies that i have used in the designing and making of my music magazine are as follow:
- Photoshop
I have used 'Photoshop' for about three years now in various other lessons at college such as in Art and Design and of course in Photography; and so I found it pretty easy to use it. However, as always with 'Photoshop' there are a few disadvantages; for example my saved work does end up wasting an awful lot of disc space on my computer and thus on occasion I was unable to save my final pieces until the ICT department allowed me to have some extra disc space which could take quite some time. Although I personally am used to using the basics of 'Photoshop' anyone who is a novice of using it may find it rather difficult to use.
Secondly, 'Blogger' is a pain. Although useful and quick to upload the work and photographs quickly and simply, it is a pain how one can spend ages typing out an essay such as this in neat paragraphs and then soon as you click the preview and publish button for some crazy and unknown reason all my hard work is quite literally squashed together. Another fault I have with using blogger, why doesn’t the spell check function work ll the time? Clearly the word "specail" is not correct.
Lastly, 'Dafont' is amazing. I love the fact the list of different cool and interesting font types is endless. But, sadly not all of them operate correctly. granted I use the 'cheaters' method of using the fonts but still; I personally can't be asked to download the full font and all the other stuff. Another thing I find annoying is that if I spend ages tracking down a font that I like only to find that the exclamation mark actually is a logo or some pointless smiley face.
